Joaquin Marias was born in Mendoza-Argentina, and currently lives in Vancouver Canada. He is a geologist with over 13 years of experience in field exploration and company management for operations in countries such as Solomon Islands, Argentina, Australia, Canada, and Alaska, for multiple mineral commodities, including oil&gas. He works for Argenta Silver Corp, where he has been one of the founders along with Frank Giustra and the Fiore Group team. He is a Director and VP of Exploration and Development for Argenta Silver Corp. since its inception, actively leading the company in Argentina and the Americas.
In October 2024 Argenta Silver Corp. acquired El Quevar Project in the Salta Province through its subsidiary, Silex Argentina SA. El Quevar is a pure silver play, the third largest undeveloped silver deposit of Argentina and one of the highest-grade mineral resource estimate of the world, with 45.3 Moz of silver at 482 g/t Ag in the Indicated category and 4.1 Moz of silver at 417 g/t Ag in the Inferred category.
