Andrea Romina Sassarini, is the Secretary of Mining and Energy of the Government of the province of Salta. She is second vice president of Argentina's Federal Mining Council (COFEMIN) She is a lawyer, graduated from the Universidad Católica de Salta and a notary public from the Universidad Siglo XXI. She graduated in Integral Mining Management from the Universidad Católica de Salta. She has a postgraduate degree in Hydrocarbons, Energy and Sustainability Law from the Universidad de Buenos Aires. Throughout her professional career she developed numerous courses focused on legal and environmental issues through which she deepened her knowledge and expertise in mining law, sustainability and community relations. She has developed a long career in public administration, beginning as a university intern, to later compete for the plant and rise in positions based on her remarkable performance. She was coordinator of the mining Social Work Tables where she strengthened good ties with the communities of the Puna and the business sector. She had been working since 2019 as Director of Legal and Technical Affairs of the Ministry of Mining and Energy. At the academic level, she is currently a teacher in the comprehensive Diploma in mining management and in training for Mining and industry in Salta.
The presentation focuses on showing the geological and mining potential of Salta. It includes a chapter dedicated to Salta's mining policy, others to the regulatory regime that governs the activity, to projects in development, the most advanced lithium and other metal projects, the achievements and advances of mining management are also exposed. At the end, it synthesizes the strategic axes of the provincial mining development plan 2030.
