(100-200 palabras) Dario Arias is an international seasoned legal counsel with more than 20 years’ experience in the natural resources law field, dedicated to transboundary transactions, due diligence processes, joint ventures‘ creation and international investment protection, among others. He has worked in the consultancy team of the Centre for Energy, Petroleum & Mineral Law & Policy, (in the UK) and with various multi-national companies, including Qatar Petroleum (in Doha), BG plc. (in Bolivia and Egypt), Petrobras, and Repsol YPF (in Latin America). He served as Lead Counsel at the Ministry of Environment of the Province of Salta, and works as a consultant and Director of Resources Energy Consulting; he is also a negotiator and a commercial arbitrator. He performed as Executive Vice President for Administration, Operations and Finance of the Catholic University of Salta (UCaSal). Regular lecturer at various universities. Frequently publishes articles in specialized publications and periodicals. The Argentinian Mining Code maintains uniform legal provisions for mining both solid mineral deposits and those found in fluid environments, such as lithium in brines. Consequently, there exist regulatory voids concerning the latter, potentially resulting in conflicts among neighboring mining companies operating within the same salt lake. In this context, the speaker aims to explore and analyze potential legal remedies that could be instituted at either the national or provincial level to address these contentious scenarios.
