McEwen Copper, working for a more sustainable world McEwen Copper, a subsidiary of McEwen Mining, has two important assets: Elder Creek, located in Nevada, United States, and Los Azules, located in San Juan, Argentina. Elder Creek has 577 mining concessions in the Humboldt and Lander counties, Nevada. It is prospective for porphyry copper mineralization and is well located in a district that hosts several large copper and gold mines, including Marigold, Lone Tree and Phoenix. McEwen Mining Inc. has a 1.25% net smelter return royalty (NSR) on all mineral rights that are comprised within Elder Creek. Los Azules is a copper project located in Argentina’s Frontal Cordillera, in the province of San Juan, at an average altitude of 3,600 meters above sea level. According to Mining Intelligence's 2022 registry, it is considered the 9th largest Copper Project under development in the world. Los Azules contemplates an open-pit mine, with a heap leaching process for the production of 99.99% pure copper cathodes (LME - London Metal Exchange - Grade A). Through these projects, McEwen Copper pursues one goal: to deliver the copper the world needs.
