Safety, scope, time and budget are the most important variables to control during the development of an industrial project. With the same speed with which technological changes occur, there is an increasing demand to reduce project delivery times, but with the expectation of increasing the quantity and quality of the information evaluated during the design phase and also, achieve it with increasingly tight budgets. The fulfillment of these expectations is extremely decisive in making investment decisions. Collaborative design through the BIM / 3D Modeling system is an effective tool to minimize the main technical risks that affect the fulfillment of the established goals and scopes. In this presentation we will expose the benefits of 3D Modeling from the initial conception of the project, detailed design, assistance during construction and commissioning, to the operation of an industrial plant.
