I am a Chemical Engineer graduated from the National University of Salta. I am finishing a Master in Business Administration at Siglo 21 University. Throughout my career I have worked in different areas, begining as responsible for quality control in the battery factory EDNA, where I worked on product quality and implementation of ISO9001:2015. Further, I was part of the production team at Ledesma alcohol distillery as shift manager, where I was responsible for following the production plan and scheduling periodic maintenance at the plant. Finally, I started my work in lithium production as head of laboratory for the company Rincon and then for the company Hanaq. After a short time, I began to work in the project UT Minera Sal de los Angeles as Operations Manager diagramming the production of 35% lithium chloride.
First of all, the company Chengxin Lithium will be introduced as a new investor in the project and the future projections made to obtain lithium. Then, the current status of the diablillos project operated by Salta Exploraciones will be detailed and the expansion project planned for this project will be presented. The Sal de los Angeles project proposes to implement a treatment developed to produce 5,000 TPA of Lithium Carbonate Equivalent (LCE), which corresponds to 10,839 tons per year of lithium chloride dihydrate. The main process consists on a sequential treatment that includes an adsorption process and elimination of impurities with membranes as a method of lithium separation, finishing with an evaporation and crystallization process.
