Resumen

In the field of Economic Geology, the exploration of porphyry and epithermal type systems constitutes one of the most exciting challenges for exploration geologists. This conference will present the main geological parameters present in these hydrothermal magmatic systems, whose presence is indicative of tectonomagmatic processes that are closely related to the size, shape and economic potential of the deposit. The geological parameters that will be discussed in this presentation are: Thin Scales & Thick Scales and their relationship with the Emplacement Forms of these porphyry-type systems; the importance of volcanic structures, Domes (laccoliths, lopolites) as traps that prevent the escape of fluids and gases that circulate through Vetillas & UST's microfractures and the presence of various forms of Breccia bodies that represent fundamental changes, both in the mineralogy as well as in the mineralization potential of these systems, which will definitively mark the vector of the drilling campaign during the development of the exploration and that, finally, will define the geological model of the deposit and not the one previously defined, often mentioned in the literature.
