Juan holds a degree in Agricultural Engineering from the university of Buenos Aires and postgraduate studies, with more than 10 years of experience in the agribusiness and related industries such as chemicals and fertilizers. Currently he is a Senior Consultant for the Santiago office in Chile, working for CRU at a global level. He has worked in different industries such as lithium, copper, gold and steel, among other commodities. Prior to CRU, Juan worked at the Buenos Aires Grains Exchange where he focused in market research, technologies and sustainability, besides coordinating multi-disciplinary projects with several organizations from the public and private sector at a regional level.
The current context is being dynamic and uncertain while presenting numerous global events that generate different impacts among several commodities around the world. At the same time, Argentina is going through its own challenges in order not to lose local opportunities. This presentation aims to revise the strategic relevance of the gold, copper and lithium industries for Argentina, with an overview of the current context at a global level and the most important factors for supply and demand of these commodities, highlighting the key aspects in relation to Argentina. The conclusion will seek to present a clear picture of the main indicators to consider based on this analysis.
