Student of Administration and Marketing at the Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata, Francisco accompanies the growth of what was once a family business more than four years. With a profile oriented towards current technologies, he is in charge of marketing and communication of Rocasur in South America, with a greater presence in Argentina, where it also managed the project "Taking water where it is most needed" at NAVES 2020, competition for entrepreneurs managed by Banco Macro and Universidad Austral. Jorge Iafar, president and founder of Rocasur more than ten years ago. Dedicated to commercial activity for more than fifteen years, he found the possibility of founding Rocasur while living in San Carlos, Brazil. Since then, it has developed a company with a solid presence throughout South America, with branches in Argentina, Bolivia and Paraguay.
Argentina is in fourth place in the amount of proven lithium reserves, integrating together to Bolivia and Chile the so-called “lithium triangle”. But what is lithium for? Where does it come from? extracted and how is it obtained? What are the projections for this market? In this sense, one of the objectives of this presentation is to provide an accessible and clear explanation of the situation of the exploitation of lithium in Argentina. On the other hand, within this context, it is desired to expose the case of Rocasur, a small-medium Argentine company that provides products and services in the drilling area, which has experienced significant growth in recent years as a consequence of the exploitation of lithium ore.
